FairArtisan stands for Fair and Ethical trade practices in the representation of it's chosen Artisans.

We believe that there is an opportunity and scope to create a specialised niche market that  sells unique original jewellery designs, eco wearable art, and recycled art by emerging and established local and international artisans.

At FairArtisan, the focus will remain on supporting and showcasing the Artisan's works.

FairArtisan plays an intermediary role in the transaction between seller and buyer. We aim to adhere to the notion of - Quality over Quantity, and that the Artisan deserves to gain a large proportion of all sales.

About Me -

My name is Marlysse. I live in Australia, and have always been a bit of  an Idealist.  My vision originated from a strong desire for Fairness in a wider context. To establish an inclusive, supportive  community, combined with ethical trade practices. Having a background in Visual Art, Theatrical Costume and Fashion Construction, volunteering and working with Disability Groups, I wanted to incorporate all my skills into the one area.

I love the idea of creating something that supports and transcends borders .  So, My aim is to at least source one Artist or Artisan from around the world- and to prove that Art and Creativity is something to be nurtured and encouraged.  This, I believe is what breaks down barriers- and creates sustainable opportunities for all.

FairArtisan's role is to create a local and global platform supporting, promoting and focussing on Visual Art, exclusively made, contemporary hand-made designer jewellery, wearable and functional pieces that appeal to a particular niche target audience.

My aim is to promote works that are attractive to an eco-aware and savvy audience  - One that appreciates a high standard of artistic creation, methods, and quirkiness of design.
